Our office is equipped and trained to see both adults and children. We have special rooms decorated with kids in mind. There are aquarium murals on the walls and televisions mounted to the ceiling to make kids feel more comfortable. We want our “small” patients to enjoy their dental visit and to create a desire to visit the dentist to ensure good oral health. During your child’s visit, we will go over proper brushing and flossing techniques and emphasize how to prevent decay.

Our office, along with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry guidelines, suggests that your child visit the dentist by his/her first birthday. At this first appointment, we are able to meet your child, discuss your child’s oral hygiene habits, diet and nutrition counseling and any oral habits that may need to be modified to ensure good dental health for your child’s future.

Some children need oral medication in order to relax so that they can receive dental treatment. Drs. Howie and Joy Brauer have additional training in this area and can provide these services to your children if it is needed. Parents are also allowed to accompany their children to the treatment room if they wish to do so.
